Shows Beginning January 12th     KRISTINA GADDY CLASSIC

Kristina Gaddy is a Baltimore-based writer and fiddler. She has received the Parsons Award from the Library of Congress, Logan Nonfiction Fellowship and a Robert W. Deutsch Foundation Ruby's Artist Award for her writing skills.

Kristina is a graduate of the University of Maryland with degrees in Hisstory and Modern Languages. Her writing career came by way of working in museums as a co-curator researching historical aspects of various exhibits. She also worked with multiple organizations to promote heritage tourism through the Appalachian Forest Heritage Area. At the Upshur County Historical Society, she digitized and archived their local history collection; edited the reminiscences of a member of the community; and wrote for their journal. She produced a CD of field recordings from banjo player and ballad singer Currence Hammonds through the Augusta Heritage Center in Elskin, West Virginia, and assisted in the creation of exhibits at the Beverly Heritage Center.

Solidly researched with fifty pages of references and citations, Kristina is a remarkably thorough and gifted author!
