KEITH ARNESON


KEITH ARNESON, a native of Waldorf, Maryland, holds an associate degree from the College of Southern Maryland and has performed as a member of the Classic Grass, The Dixie Ramblers and Mountain Laurel bluegrass bands. In 1985 he was a featured performer on the Mountain Laurel Band nationally televised program "Nashville Now". A banjo instructor since 1981, he is in demand as a clinician and has led advanced banjo workshops thoughout the country. Many of his original songs have been transcribed and published in "Banjo Newsletter", and his solo album containing original music has been played regularly on radio stations nationwide.

He joined the Navy band in 1993 bringing his banjo skills to their bluegrass band, Country Current, and as Senior Chief Musician performed with them for 24 years playing his final gig in uniform on May 12th of this year.

Join Steve during one of the shows above w.b. 11/19/2017 as he highlights Keith's music and chats with him about his experiences playing with the Navy Band, his retirement and his new project album, Namaste, just released containing many original tracks featuring his banjo and guitar skills. Part 1 of a 2 part interview.
